MY REVIEW:Ultimates Review

Through My Blog Spark, General Mills provided me with Betty Crocker’s new Ultimates products to try. My family and I made a dinner of one box of each the Ultimate Hamburger Helper Three Cheese Marinara and Ultimate Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. Both were very easy to make, only took about 20 minutes to get on the table, and was enough to feed 3 adults and a preschooler. My husband and I actually used to eat Hamburger Helper all the time until we started eating healthier a few years ago and felt it was a bit salty and greasy. However, the Ultimate Hamburger Helper was different. It wasn’t as salty and tasted more “homemade” as opposed to an instant meal. We did not care too much for the potatoes though. They were dry and I thought they tasted a bit like cardboard, but we also don’t normally eat instant potatoes.

I’m happy to give one (1) My Joy My World reader a Betty Crocker Ultimates Gift Pack provided by General Mills through My Blog Spark! The gift pack includes:

  • 1 box of Ultimate Helper mix

I would enjoy them as a mid day break and I want to try the mixed berry first.

  2. rochelle johnson says:

    i would enjoy the strawberry

  3. My daughter would enjoy the blueberry flavored ones for a snack.

  4. Sue Ellison says:

I would put them in my kids lunch and I would like to try the strawberry flavor.

  5. i get sad when halloween is over

  6. I like the potatoes as a side to fried chicken.

  7. I use instant potatoes in Shepherd’s Pie.
The part I hate about halloween is I can’t be in two places at once – walk around with the kids and stay home to give out candy.

  8. Carolyn G says:

I would use the hamburger helper in a pasta casserole

  9. karen medlin says:

I use the Hamburger Helper four cheese lasagna in the Cheesy Lasagna Stuffed Peppers recipe
Least favorite for Halloween, is bad weather for the kids, favorites are seeing little babies dressed up. and smiling when they reach in the bowl for a treat

  10. Dorothy Hubbard says:

I use Hamburger helper as itself, but I will add a few of my own ingredients. The thing I dislike the most about halloween is that it starts it advertizing before school has started.

  11. I would maybe add some caramelized onions or garlic to the potatoes.
As for Halloween, my favorite part is getting to enjoy the leftover candy!

  12. Carrie Phelps says:

My favorite part of Halloween is the costumes, I love being able to dress up with my grandchildren. We usually pick a theme and we all are dressed in relation to it.

  13. We usually just prepare the hamburger helper according to the instructions without adding anything. On some, like the chicken fried rice that call for an egg, we leave that out. But we usually serve the HH with some mac-n-cheese.

  14. Kate Newton says:

I use Hamburger Helper with soy crumbles for a vegetarian option. My favorite part of Halloween is seeing how excited the kids get about their costumes!

  15. beth shepherd says:

i like the hamburger helper just by itself.. its a great meal
